Time to retrospect 🪞💭

Bismillah

I think these days and nights are perfect timing for some retrospection and looking at ourselves in the 🪞 for growth bi idhnillah.
Ibn Jawzy Rahimahullah said it in his book “Talbis Iblis” that the biggest weapon Satan has on us is our own ignorance of the Deen. I see so many of us born Muslims, parents, grand parents even, highly educated in the worldly sense, yet we remain ‘unlettered’ when it comes to the Qur’an. Why?
We remain vastly ‘unaware’ and ‘uninformed’ when it comes to the basics of our faith such as the reading of the Qur’an, tajwid, prayer, ablution, the basic rulings regarding the pillars of Islam and of Eeman.

This lack of knowledge is a choice we make because no one can remain in the dark nowadays with all the technology. Learning how to read the Book of Allah has never been made so accessible to all.

You can have someone come to your home and teach you, you can get online and take a class, you can go to the Masjid and learn.

So many ways to learn yet we don’t make the time and we sit comfortably in our ignorance 😓.

The excellence we bring to the Dunya we don’t bring a tenth of that to the Deen of Allah! Why?

Let’s answer these questions below for ourselves, repent and ask Allah for help to make better choices coming out of Ramadan. May Allah give us the ability to do so. (Tawfeeq). Aameen!🤲🏽✨

💭 Can we get closer to Allah Azza Wajal without reading and reflecting on His final message to mankind?

💭 Can we hope for Jannah when we don’t take time out of our ‘busy’ schedule to learn how to read the Book of Allah, the Speech of Allah, the Words of Allah sent to us as a sign of His infinite Mercy?

💭 Can we be at peace and spiritually healed when we don’t go for the biggest source of healing and guidance that is the Qur’an?

💭 Can we really stand in front of Allah on that Tremendous Day and say to Allah Azza Wajal that though we had the chance and time and energy to learn other languages, study many years about various topics of interests, go for many certifications and degrees, we still were ‘unlettered’ when it came to the book of Allah?

If the answer is no then let’s do something about it now, while the gates of Jannah are opened and the shayateen are chained. Make a move now, make du’a about it now, enroll in a class now, find a way now. You are worth it, your Akhirah self is worth it. And Allah Al ‘Aleem knows best.

Time to do good is now!!!
You got this bi idhnillah 🤲🏽✨

Go ahead and do some good by sharing this post with anyone you think might benefit. 🤩
